What is Positive Behaviour Support?
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is about understanding the reasons behind someone’s behaviours and supporting them in ways that improve their quality of life. It’s respectful, evidence-based, and focused on building skills and reducing the need for restrictive practices.
How do I get started?
Complete the referral form on our website, or contact us by phone or email. We’ll be in touch to guide you through the next steps.
Who do you support?
We support NDIS participants of all ages who may be experiencing behaviours of concern. This includes people with disability, mental health needs, and complex support needs. We also work closely with families, support coordinators, and providers.
What ages do you support?
We work with people of all ages — from early childhood through to older adults — as long as they are NDIS participants.
What qualifications do PBS Pathways practitioners have?
Our practitioners meet the NDIS Commission’s suitability requirements and have backgrounds in psychology, social work, counselling, or disability. We use trauma-informed, person-centred, evidence-based practices.
Will you train support staff?
Absolutely. Support workers, SIL teams, day program staff and others involved in daily care are an essential part of our work. We provide clear, practical guidance and coaching to help staff implement plans safely and effectively.
What NDIS funding do I need?
Behaviour support usually falls under the Improved Relationships category in Capacity Building. If you're unsure, we’re happy to speak with your support coordinator or plan manager to confirm your funding eligibility.
Do you offer programs for schools?
Yes. We work with educators to support students with behaviours of concern, and we provide teacher training, consultation, and classroom strategies.
Can you help with restrictive practices?
Yes. We can help with identifying, reporting, and working to reduce restrictive practices in line with NDIS Commission guidelines.
